Erasmo Hunfredos short, quick shot in the 9thth minute got Edgar Coposu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a little luck, Stiinta-Univ.'s Edgar Coposu got control of the ball when Erasmo Hunfredo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Generoso Karmel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ovidiu Borza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vladimiro Bernaldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Coposu having to interfere. Stiinta-Univ.'s Edgar Coposu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimiro Bernaldo in the 26th minute of play. Mihnea Bogatu's late challenge caught a Angua FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mihnea Bogatu helped the player get up and apologised. Generoso Karmel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mircea Andone in the 29th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernan Bartoli got free with Edgar Coposu in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 35th minute of the match, Erasmo Hunfredo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Edgar Coposu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 40th minute, Vladimiro Bernaldo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Ovidiu Borza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mircea Andone to make the kick off. Erasmo Hunfredo scored 2-1 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edgar Coposu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ovidiu Borza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Generoso Karmel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Erasmo Hunfredo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 67th minute, Ovidiu Borza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erasmo Hunfredo might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edgar Coposu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Erasmo Hunfredo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 73rd minute, Erasmo Hunfredo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgar Coposu was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Edgar Coposu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciro Dolfos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angua FC's Generoso Karmel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mircea Andone in the 78th minute of play. Generoso Karmel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mircea Andone, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. If Erasmo Hunfredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erasmo Hunfredo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edgar Coposu having to make a save. 88 minutes into the match, Stiinta-Univ.'s goal looked a bit too open when Vladimiro Bernaldo came free, but Edgar Coposu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgar Coposu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vladimiro Bernaldo went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. For all the effort they put into the match, the Stiinta-Univ. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Angua FC.
