Maicon de Almeida started the match with the kick off. Bernardinho Freire took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vali Ghețea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 7 minutes into the match, Vali Ghețea notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Academia Militar MZ's Bernardinho Freire. Bernardinho Freire was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jo Bag kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Vali Ghețea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Enéas Lima took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for George Agachi. Galati Harbour Cats's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Academia Militar MZ's Bernardinho Freire played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vali Ghețea in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Vali Ghețea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernardinho Freire. Academia Militar MZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vali Ghețea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. George Agachi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 31 minutes into the match, Petruț Vlăsiu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernardinho Freire. Academia Militar MZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Petruț Vlăsiu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Academia Militar MZ's Bernardinho Freire played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jo Bag in the 37th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Academia Militar MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Vali Ghețea came free, but Bernardinho Freire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Galati Harbour Cats booed when Academia Militar MZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cacá Souto didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Galati Harbour Cats's Jo Bag in 41 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Bernardinho Freire guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Vali Ghețea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernardinho Freire read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. 44 minutes into the game, Luís Fábio Quirino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Academia Militar MZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galati Harbour Cats the free kick. In the 44th minute, Luís Fábio Quirino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute, Vali Ghețea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernardinho Freire was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. The Academia Militar MZ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Galati Harbour Cats were winning 2-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jo Bag stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Petruț Vlăsiu kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. When Corneliu Hurmuzescu fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galati Harbour Cats's protests and gave Corneliu Hurmuzescu a yellow card for diving instead. After 58 played minutes Galati Harbour Cats got a freekick which was hit by Corneliu Hurmuzescu. Luiz Gustavo da Silveira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for George Agachi. Galati Harbour Cats's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 60 minutes of play, Galati Harbour Cats's Vali Ghețea made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernardinho Freire was left in no man's land by his defense there! Academia Militar MZ's Bernardinho Freire proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Academia Militar MZ from getting a goal against them. Galati Harbour Cats's Jo Bag was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 67th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. When Vali Ghețea came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Galati Harbour Cats fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vali Ghețea couldn't finish the play. When Adrian Baldazar fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galati Harbour Cats's protests and gave Adrian Baldazar a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Galati Harbour Cats's Adrian Baldazar got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Vali Ghețea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Bernardinho Freire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petruț Vlăsiu in the 82nd minute of play forced Academia Militar MZ's goalkeeper Bernardinho Freire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Traian Slătineanu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 88 minutes into the match. The referee gave Academia Militar MZ a penalty, 90 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gino Neto, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Galati Harbour Cats's George Agachi. 3-6. George Agachi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maicon de Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Maicon de Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 100th minute. George Agachi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Galati Harbour Cats walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
