In the 4th minute, RWD Molenbeek's Fabinho Simão dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Almir Diniz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualter Nóbrega in the 8th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Perez got free with Bernardinho Freire in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as RWD Molenbeek's Tomé Nogueira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bernardinho Freire. That made the score 2-0 after 11 minutes of play. In the 16th minute, Gualter Nóbrega made a precise shot to the right of Almir Diniz. RWD Molenbeek's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Ronaldo Novaes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bernardinho Freire. That made the score 3-1 in the 21 minute of play. Bernardinho Freire made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Novaes in the 52nd minute of play. Bernardinho Freire showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabinho Simão, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Bernardinho Freire took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Betinho Damião, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernardinho Freire showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Perez in the 57th minute of the match. The supporters of Academia Militar MZ booed when RWD Molenbeek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomé Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute, Ronaldo Novaes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The RWD Molenbeek fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Bernardinho Freire showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Perez in the 74th minute of the match. RWD Molenbeek's supporters rose to their feet, but Vânderson Santana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernardinho Freire breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Academia Militar MZ's zone, Ronaldo Novaes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardinho Freire came out of the goal and Ronaldo Novaes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Fabinho Simão came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the RWD Molenbeek fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabinho Simão couldn't finish the play. RWD Molenbeek walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
