When Jonathan Hermes came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Carrossel Caipira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonathan Hermes couldn't finish the play. Dinei Hermes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardino Indalecio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Charmander City's Inocencio Anaya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dudu Queiroz in the 7th minute of play. José Vítor Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saverio Ermano in the 22nd minute of play forced Carrossel Caipira's goalkeeper Dinei Hermes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dinei Hermes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Tome in the 25th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Vítor Mendonça during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 26th match minute, Carrossel Caipira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Vítor Mendonça to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute Leo Tome shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dinei Hermes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Tome in the 31st minute of play forced Carrossel Caipira's goalkeeper Dinei Hermes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dinei Hermes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saverio Ermano in the 41st minute of play. After 43 played minutes Charmander City got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Valery. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leo Tome made a kick off. The supporters of Charmander City booed when Carrossel Caipira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guga Campidelis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Charmander City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leo Tome was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 67th minute, Saverio Ermano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Vítor Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Carrossel Caipira's goal looked a bit too open when Saverio Ermano came free, but Dinei Hermes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Leo Tome kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dinei Hermes. That made the score 0-4 in the 73 minute of play. In the 87th minute Leo Tome shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dinei Hermes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Dinei Hermes managed to avoid a goal in the 89thth minute, when Charmander City's Leo Tome fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Carrossel Caipira's Isaltino Pereira got a free kick in the 95th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Charmander City had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
