Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Clemencín Varas got the match started through his kick off. Orlando Tello kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. When Rene Senon fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CA Trapito's protests and gave Rene Senon a yellow card for diving instead. Raimundo Backhouse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Benedicto Eli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of CA Trapito booed when Club Deportes Santa Cruz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Antonio Porras didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Gaston Guillelmo managed to get in a good position for a shot. CA Trapito's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaston Guillelmo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teodosio Cerda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Clemencín Varas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute, Clemencín Varas made a precise shot to the right of Benedicto Eli. CA Trapito's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Clemencín Varas took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benedicto Eli. Benedicto Eli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Flavio Calvet made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Flavio Calvet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodosio Cerda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Clemente Barros got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 57 played minutes CA Trapito got a freekick which was hit by Silverio Mirande. After a rather tough play, CA Trapito's Jeronimo Montrelle got a free kick in the 61st minute. CA Trapito's Benedicto Eli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Backhouse in the 61st minute of play. CA Trapito's Flavio Calvet got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 66th minute, Jeronimo Montrelle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute, Raimundo Backhouse made a precise shot to the right of Benedicto Eli. CA Trapito's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Benedicto Eli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raimundo Backhouse went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. In the 77th match minute, Club Deportes Santa Cruz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inocencio Mosca to maneuver through the defense. Clemencín Varas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedicto Eli having to interfere. After a rather tough play, CA Trapito's Jeronimo Montrelle got a free kick in the 94th minute. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
