Ivan Bernad charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 7th match minute, the xeneise dream team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Bernad to maneuver through the defense. If Silvio Selmo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Rosendo Estebe fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored the xeneise dream team's protests and gave Rosendo Estebe a yellow card for diving instead.
