The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bernd Van der Sande hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. After 3 played minutes, CA Trapito's Silverio Mirande shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Geordy De Leger came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CA Trapito reached it. After some careless play in the Vc Brye defense, Gaston Guillelmo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Geordy De Leger. The Vc Brye fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geordy De Leger should have stopped the shot. 8 minutes into the match, CA Trapito's Gaston Guillelmo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Geordy De Leger narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Geordy De Leger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavio Calvet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, CA Trapito's Alejandro Gabino got a free kick in the 11th minute. Octaaf Van Adorp's late challenge caught a CA Trapito's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Octaaf Van Adorp helped the player get up and apologised. Octaaf Van Adorp hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After 16 played minutes, CA Trapito's Silverio Mirande shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Geordy De Leger came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Flavio Calvet sped through Vc Brye's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Geordy De Leger. After 24 minutes of play, CA Trapito's Pedro Perutxo made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Geordy De Leger was left in no man's land by his defense there! 31 minutes into the game, CA Trapito's Pedro Perutxo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Geordy De Leger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaston Guillelmo in the 34th minute of play forced Vc Brye's goalkeeper Geordy De Leger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tony Van de Plas's late challenge caught a CA Trapito's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tony Van de Plas helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Vc Brye fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 36th minute. Penalty! Benedicto Eli made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Bernd Van der Sande sent off a good shot on target. In the 43rd minute, Adolf Dhondt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Flavio Calvet to make the kick off. Charalambos Zardari struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Benedicto Eli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vc Brye. After 55 played minutes CA Trapito got a freekick which was hit by Gaston Guillelmo. Bernd Van der Sande might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benedicto Eli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernd Van der Sande ran back to his position shaking his head. 59 minutes into the match, Gaston Guillelmo notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of Vc Brye's Geordy De Leger. Geordy De Leger was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Gaston Guillelmo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flavio Calvet kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Gaston Guillelmo took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Geordy De Leger to make any attempt to save it. After 82 minutes, Bernd Van der Sande mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vc Brye and the CA Trapito players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 82nd match minute, Vc Brye was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernd Van der Sande to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 86 minutes, Charalambos Zardari managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vc Brye's supporters crossed their fingers, but Charalambos Zardari was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 91 minutes in the game Albano Caitano did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Jeronimo Montrelle. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. CA Trapito had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
