Albertinho Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Caetano Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Caetano Monteiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Róbson da Silva went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After 17 minutes, Egídio Lucas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Icoara Football Club and the Lobo Guará players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 17th minute, Egídio Lucas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caetano Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinei Tande, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Fabrício Rosa kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Artur Branco got free with Caetano Monteiro in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Caetano Monteiro came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Lobo Guará's Róbson da Silva. But to his dismay, Róbson da Silva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. 40 minutes into the game, Artur Branco recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Caetano Monteiro. Artur Branco showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Róbson da Silva got free with Caetano Monteiro in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Artur Branco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Lobo Guará's Artur Branco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Caetano Monteiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. 59 minutes into the match, Icoara Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Artur Branco came free, but Caetano Monteiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claudinei Tande struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Caetano Monteiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lobo Guará. After 62 minutes, Artur Branco made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. Icoara Football Club's Caetano Monteiro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Lobo Guará's Roberto Domingues was substituted for Afonsinho Melo. Lobo Guará made a substitution. Chico Couto replaced Luisinho Godoi. When Albertinho Leite came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Lobo Guará fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albertinho Leite couldn't finish the play. When Lobo Guará's Artur Branco in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Icoara Football Club's goalie prevented a goal. Icoara Football Club's Caetano Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Róbson da Silva in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd minute Róbson da Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caetano Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Claudinei Tande managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lobo Guará's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudinei Tande was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caetano Monteiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Lobo Guará's Artur Branco in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Icoara Football Club's goalie prevented a goal. After 81 played minutes Icoara Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Valdo Lima. In the 82nd minute, Artur Branco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lobo Guará fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. Caetano Monteiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artur Branco in the 87th minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Laércio das Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caetano Monteiro came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Lobo Guará's Albertinho Leite. But to his dismay, Albertinho Leite quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 10-0. In the 95th minute Júnior Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caetano Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caetano Monteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artur Branco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lobo Guará's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
