Basilio Justin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jarl Nilsson in the 3rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dionisio Monico in the 5th minute of play forced Glentown FC's goalkeeper Tommy Kvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Atlético Atlanta's Basilio Justin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Atlanta from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Joaquin Fonso got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 19th minute, Club Atlético Atlanta's Gaston Joanes seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Gaston Joanes the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Club Atlético Atlanta protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gaston Joanes had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to Club Atlético Atlanta getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Gaston Joanes hit a great ball. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Basilio Justin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Glentown FC's Jens Ahlén slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Basilio Justin. That made the score 2-0 after 22 minutes of play. In the 26th minute, Eustaquio Gerazan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Glentown FC's Henric Forsberg couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 26th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Club Atlético Atlanta. In the 28th minute of the match Henric Forsberg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Basilio Justin skillfully saved the ball. Wilfredo Gaxan kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Henric Forsberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Bernardo Ranolfo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th match minute, Glentown FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernt Söderberg to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Club Atlético Atlanta's Basilio Justin got control of the ball when Jan-Ove Lindqvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. Håkan Asserlindh kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jonatan Felipo made a kick off. Jonatan Felipo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Tommy Kvist made a huge save. With a little luck, Glentown FC's Tommy Kvist got control of the ball when Bernardo Ranolfo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Basilio Justin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Ove Lindqvist in the 69th minute of play. Club Atlético Atlanta's Jonatan Felipo got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Club Atlético Atlanta's Leonardo Paulin was substituted for Joaquin Fonso. The supporters of Glentown FC booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dionisio Monico didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute Per Strömberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Justin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd match minute, Club Atlético Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulino Frechoso to maneuver through the defense. Basilio Justin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per Strömberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. After 95 played minutes Glentown FC got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Soned. In the 96th minute, Jens Ahlén hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 97 played minutes, Club Atlético Atlanta's Leonardo Paulin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tommy Kvist came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club Atlético Atlanta reached it. Glentown FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
