The tension between the Club Atletico Chusca and the Club Sportiv Medgidia players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 3 played minutes Club Atletico Chusca got a freekick which was hit by Alonzo Lugo. Horea Aplugăriței was extremely unlucky when he, in the 6th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Augustin Horea who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Fidel Barrionuevo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A hard shot 10 in the game by Augustin Horea from a close distance when the talented Fidel Barrionuevo managed to make a qualified save. Club Atletico Chusca's players were relieved. After 13th play minutes Placido Hernandez shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Nicu Arghirescu and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alonzo Lugo in the 16th minute of play forced Club Sportiv Medgidia's goalkeeper Nicu Arghirescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Club Atletico Chusca booed when Club Sportiv Medgidia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cazimir Panait didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicu Arghirescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Placido Hernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After 27 played minutes Club Sportiv Medgidia got a freekick which was hit by Liviu Alupulesei. Augustin Horea scored 1-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fidel Barrionuevo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Placido Hernandez in the 39th minute of play forced Club Sportiv Medgidia's goalkeeper Nicu Arghirescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Constantino Eguen kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. If Sebastian Matei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alonzo Lugo to make the kick off. Club Atletico Chusca's Fidel Barrionuevo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augustin Horea in the 53rd minute of play. Nicu Arghirescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alonzo Lugo in the 54th minute of the match. When Augustin Horea came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Club Sportiv Medgidia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augustin Horea couldn't finish the play. Augustin Horea took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fidel Barrionuevo. Fidel Barrionuevo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. After 65 minutes of play, Club Sportiv Medgidia's Horea Aplugăriței made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fidel Barrionuevo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 68th minute Augustin Horea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fidel Barrionuevo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute, Stelian Hulubei made a precise shot to the right of Fidel Barrionuevo. Club Atletico Chusca's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. After 75 played minutes Club Atletico Chusca got a freekick which was hit by Alonzo Lugo. After a rather tough play, Club Sportiv Medgidia's Aristide Baldazar got a free kick in the 80th minute. Nicu Arghirescu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Bernardino Orlondon. In the 82nd minute, Augustin Horea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fidel Barrionuevo was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. 89 minutes into the game, Constantino Eguen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atletico Chusca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Sportiv Medgidia the free kick. The supporters of Club Sportiv Medgidia booed when Club Atletico Chusca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Constantino Eguen didn't get a good kick on the ball.
