In the 4th minute, Rutger Skytt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 5th minute of the match Ivan Felipo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but John Granberg skillfully saved the ball. After 7 played minutes, Racing Club's Serafin Santos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper John Granberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Racing Club reached it. Damian Quirze showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Erik Brovall in the 8th minute of the match. Geronimo Estebano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Fågelmara IK's goalkeeper John Granberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Geronimo Estebano. The supporters of Fågelmara IK booed when Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvano Dorio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Damian Quirze made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Krister Lundström in the 22nd minute of play. If Geronimo Estebano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Fågelmara IK getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Per-Oskar Borre hit a great ball. In the 27th minute Krister Lundström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Quirze saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 28 minutes, Hipolito Iago mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Racing Club and the Fågelmara IK players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Racing Club getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Hipolito Iago hit a great ball. Anders Holm hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. John Granberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Geronimo Estebano in the 33rd minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Krister Lundström to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goalkeeper Damian Quirze had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karl-Ove Kullgren. 59 minutes into the match, Fågelmara IK's goal looked a bit too open when Ezequiel Pero came free, but John Granberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. John Granberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geronimo Estebano, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Ivan Felipo made a great header on Racing Club's corner, it was just that Fågelmara IK's John Granberg managed to reach the ball for a save. 69 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Per-Oskar Borre came free, but Damian Quirze reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geronimo Estebano to maneuver through the defense. When Fågelmara IK's Per-Oskar Borre in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The crowd rose to their feet as Karl-Ove Kullgren kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Damian Quirze. That made the score 0-2 in the 94 minute of play.
