With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ciriaco Cañaveral in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicu Arghirescu saved Club Sportiv Medgidia from getting behind. After 23 minutes of play, AFC Viola Gigliati's Enrico Cicero made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nicu Arghirescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to AFC Viola Gigliati getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Ciriaco Cañaveral hit a great ball. Nicu Arghirescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrico Cicero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Augustin Horea to make the kick off. Nicu Arghirescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santio Marco in the 51st minute of the match. Liviu Alupulesei hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Ciriaco Cañaveral took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Nicu Arghirescu to make any attempt to save it. After 73 played minutes Club Sportiv Medgidia got a freekick which was hit by Sergiu Timaru. AFC Viola Gigliati's Christiano Armenta was substituted for Josue Pinazas. Sergiu Timaru kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quentin Odoardo in the 78th minute of play forced Club Sportiv Medgidia's goalkeeper Nicu Arghirescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Sportiv Medgidia's Nicu Arghirescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Club Sportiv Medgidia from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Ştefan Alupulesei's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ralondo Barboa was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. AFC Viola Gigliati's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
