Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 12 minutes into the match, FK Mintis Vilnius's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Benet came free, but Gvidonas Jakimavičius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Horacio Roano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, FK Mintis Vilnius's Horacio Ibar threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ugnius Budnikas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Bernardino Donio hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. FK Mintis Vilnius's Ugnius Budnikas got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Horacio Ibar was a little too slow when Ugnius Budnikas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 1-0. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Motiejus Saudargis made a kick off. In the 56th minute Ruben Dubardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gvidonas Jakimavičius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Motiejus Saudargis managed to get in a good position for a shot. FK Mintis Vilnius's supporters rose to their feet, but Motiejus Saudargis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. FK Mintis Vilnius's Gvidonas Jakimavičius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristides Federigo in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th minute, Bernardas Gadliauskas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FK Mintis Vilnius fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. FK Mintis Vilnius's Bernardas Gadliauskas got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
