Manu Gyselinx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Nazario in the 3rd minute of play. Manu Gyselinx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hilario Hartz in the 5th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Aldo Etxekopar took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Manu Gyselinx to make any attempt to save it. Arturo Sengrat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Philip Vandamme in the 9th minute of play. The supporters of KFC Paal-Tervant booed when Rivermania FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. German Teofilio didn't get a good kick on the ball. KFC Paal-Tervant's Abel Van Meerbek got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aldo Etxekopar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Manu Gyselinx made a huge save. Hilario Hartz hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. KFC Paal-Tervant's Manu Gyselinx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hilario Hartz in the 32nd minute of play. Manu Gyselinx made an important save on a dangerous shot by Angelo Nazario in the 34th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angelo Nazario got free with Manu Gyselinx in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 46thth minute of the game Tobias Geeraerts who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rivermania FC's Arturo Sengrat was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Philip Vandamme made the kick off in the second half. Aldo Etxekopar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manu Gyselinx having to interfere. In the 54th match minute, KFC Paal-Tervant was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harold Dheedene to maneuver through the defense. Manu Gyselinx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Nazario, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Arturo Sengrat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Philip Vandamme in the 65th minute of play. In the 66th minute of the match, Philip Vandamme tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Arturo Sengrat saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Abel Van Meerbek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 70th minute, Angelo Nazario ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manu Gyselinx was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After 73 minutes of play, Rivermania FC's Angelo Nazario made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manu Gyselinx was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Aldo Etxekopar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manu Gyselinx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Nazario in the 77th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Rivermania FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tobias Geeraerts came free, but Arturo Sengrat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Harold Dheedene fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KFC Paal-Tervant's protests and gave Harold Dheedene a yellow card for diving instead. In the 81st minute of the match Angelo Nazario sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manu Gyselinx skillfully saved the ball. When Cristo Astrada fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rivermania FC's protests and gave Cristo Astrada a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Rivermania FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Cristo Astrada hit a great ball. KFC Paal-Tervant's Manu Gyselinx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Nazario in the 86th minute of play. If Philip Vandamme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Rivermania FC's zone, Abel Van Meerbek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arturo Sengrat came out of the goal and Abel Van Meerbek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to KFC Paal-Tervant getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Christian Mangelschot hit a great ball. Arturo Sengrat made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abel Van Meerbek in the 96th minute. KFC Paal-Tervant's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
