Jorne Verhofstadt lost his temper 4 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Billy Hydén took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marten de Nijs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, KFC Paal-Tervant's Abel Van Meerbek got a free kick in the 14th minute. Tor Brolin charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tor Brolin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 16th minute, Tor Brolin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Billy Hydén showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Mangelschot, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. With an all-out effort, Karlsborg's Louis-Philippe Van Gorpt threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wiktor Karlstedt, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Louis-Philippe Van Gorpt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wiktor Karlstedt, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Louis-Philippe Van Gorpt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tor Brolin in the 35th minute of play. In the 38th minute Marten de Nijs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Billy Hydén saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th match minute, Karlsborg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boris Söderberg to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd minute, William Vanden Driessche got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Wiktor Karlstedt made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Boris Söderberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Louis-Philippe Van Gorpt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tor Brolin in the 57th minute of play forced KFC Paal-Tervant's goalkeeper Louis-Philippe Van Gorpt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 60 minutes, Boris Söderberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Karlsborg and the KFC Paal-Tervant players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of KFC Paal-Tervant booed when Karlsborg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boris Söderberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. KFC Paal-Tervant's Marten de Nijs got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Karlsborg booed when KFC Paal-Tervant was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Mangelschot didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Karlsborg getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Wiktor Karlstedt hit a great ball. 72 minutes into the game, Manu Gyselinx was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KFC Paal-Tervant's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Karlsborg the free kick. After 72 played minutes KFC Paal-Tervant got a freekick which was hit by Manu Gyselinx. Louis-Philippe Van Gorpt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tor Brolin, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Marten de Nijs dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Billy Hydén, 1-3. Boris Söderberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Louis-Philippe Van Gorpt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. KFC Paal-Tervant's Louis-Philippe Van Gorpt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boris Söderberg in the 95th minute of play. The KFC Paal-Tervant players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
