But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Klas Löfgren couldn't finish the play. Teofilo Etxatxu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Oskar Vestberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Åke Asserlindh notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of AZURDUY F.C.'s Ulises Bastian. Ulises Bastian was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ulises Bastian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Åke Asserlindh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oskar Vestberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raul Mero, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 41 minutes into the match, AZURDUY F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Alfons Mattsson came free, but Ulises Bastian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute Klas Löfgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulises Bastian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Artemio Ramone made a kick off. With a little luck, AZURDUY F.C.'s Ulises Bastian got control of the ball when Alfons Mattsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 59th minute, Kevin Kollberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, AZURDUY F.C.'s Raul Mero got a free kick in the 60th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Quetzal Flyers Hammers's Åke Asserlindh sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ulises Bastian narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Quetzal Flyers Hammers's Krister Torstensson got a free kick in the 64th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teofilo Etxatxu in the 66th minute of play forced Quetzal Flyers Hammers's goalkeeper Oskar Vestberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oskar Vestberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul Mero in the 76th minute of the match. After 78 minutes of play, Quetzal Flyers Hammers's Åke Asserlindh made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ulises Bastian was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 80th minute, Raul Mero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. AZURDUY F.C.'s Ulises Bastian proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save AZURDUY F.C. from getting a goal against them. The supporters of AZURDUY F.C. booed when Quetzal Flyers Hammers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klas Löfgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Alfons Mattsson fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quetzal Flyers Hammers's protests and gave Alfons Mattsson a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Quetzal Flyers Hammers getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Alfons Mattsson hit a great ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Quetzal Flyers Hammers walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
