Willian Loyola made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Willian Loyola made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adhemar da Fonseca in the 18th minute. Willian Loyola stood somewhat misplaced when Adhemar da Fonseca came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 21 minute. Willian Loyola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dinei Goiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ruy Duarte hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. A collision led to Morro Grande E.C getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Cristian Duarte hit a great ball. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wambalamba FC's goalkeeper Naldo Mello, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dinei Goiano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Willian Loyola made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinei Goiano in the 45th minute of play forced Morro Grande E.C's goalkeeper Willian Loyola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristian Duarte stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristian Duarte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Naldo Mello made a huge save. Wambalamba FC's Leonel Couto got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 73 minutes into the game, Wambalamba FC's Dinei Goiano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Willian Loyola made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. If Adhemar da Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 86 minutes, Wanderson Mello mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Morro Grande E.C and the Wambalamba FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Willian Loyola came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Wambalamba FC's Dinei Goiano. But to his dismay, Dinei Goiano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. When Cristian Duarte was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 92 minutes had been played. The supporters of Wambalamba FC booed when Morro Grande E.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 93 minutes, Diogo Pinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Morro Grande E.C and the Wambalamba FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Diogo Pinho kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Wambalamba FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
