The supporters of S.S.C. NAPOLI booed when GreenUnited was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berasko Gordo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 11 played minutes GreenUnited got a freekick which was hit by Domenico Solarriba. 12 minutes into the match, GreenUnited's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Barone came free, but Eli Villalobos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carter Di Nino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lain Bejarano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Armando Barones short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Eli Villalobos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Barone in the 22nd minute of play forced GreenUnited's goalkeeper Eli Villalobos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute, Concetto Vianello left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The S.S.C. NAPOLI fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 29 minutes into the match, GreenUnited's goal looked a bit too open when Concetto Vianello came free, but Eli Villalobos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Frank Carlucci came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the S.S.C. NAPOLI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Carlucci couldn't finish the play. GreenUnited's Eli Villalobos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save GreenUnited from getting a goal against them. A collision led to S.S.C. NAPOLI getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Cristoforo Pacella hit a great ball. 47 minutes into the game, Txeru Montaña cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Carter Di Nino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gabrio Dozal was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guaberto Reigada during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 60 played minutes GreenUnited got a freekick which was hit by Guaberto Reigada. When S.S.C. Isaias Salce was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 91 minutes into the match. 90 minutes into the game, one of GreenUnited:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 96 minutes into the match, GreenUnited's goal looked a bit too open when Concetto Vianello came free, but Eli Villalobos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eli Villalobos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Barone, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute. S.S.C. NAPOLI's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
