In the 5th of the match, Tomás Quintal tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Maurinho Sousa got in the way and made a wonderful save. A collision led to Jumeuc Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Dagoberto Guerra hit a great ball. Maurinho Sousa made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Hélder Meireles sent off a good shot on target. Jefferson Goiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Magno Velasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th match minute, Jumeuc Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jailson Rodrigues to maneuver through the defense. 18 minutes into the game, Jumeuc Futebol Clube's Gil Abreu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jefferson Goiano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Jefferson Goiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gil Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Jefferson Goiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Magno Velasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 26 minutes, Célio Veiga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Xiboquinha FC and the Jumeuc Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 26th minute, Célio Veiga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xiboquinha FC's Jefferson Goiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magno Velasco in the 29th minute of play. Maurinho Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Quintal, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Tomás Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurinho Sousa having to interfere. Tomás Quintal received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Maurinho Sousa came out and tried to block the shot, but Tomás Quintal slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 34th minute. Jefferson Goiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gil Abreu in the 42nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Jumeuc Futebol Clube's zone, Hélder Meireles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurinho Sousa came out of the goal and Hélder Meireles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Célio Veiga came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Xiboquinha FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Célio Veiga couldn't finish the play. Maurinho Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hélder Meireles, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomás Quintal to make the kick off. Jefferson Goiano came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Jumeuc Futebol Clube's Fellipe Sena. But to his dismay, Fellipe Sena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Jefferson Goiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baltazar Schmidt in the 56th minute of play. Jefferson Goiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltazar Schmidt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes into the game, Tomás Quintal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Maurinho Sousa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 66thth minute of the game Baltazar Schmidt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Xiboquinha FC's Jefferson Goiano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 68th match minute, Xiboquinha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Célio Veiga to maneuver through the defense. Jefferson Goiano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gil Abreu in the 69th minute. Jefferson Goiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baltazar Schmidt in the 70th minute of the match. Jumeuc Futebol Clube's Maurinho Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Quintal in the 72nd minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Jumeuc Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Hélder Meireles came free, but Maurinho Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute, Tomás Quintal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Jumeuc Futebol Clube supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Jumeuc Futebol Clube would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
