Dave Falcioni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Vulpescu in the 6th minute of the match. In the 15th minute Alexandru Maia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Falcioni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandru Maia in the 16th minute of play forced Burnley FC's goalkeeper Dave Falcioni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Donato Porcu kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Burnley FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aristide Ispirescu came free, but Dave Falcioni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dave Falcioni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandru Maia, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After 24 played minutes Club Atlético Timișoara got a freekick which was hit by Adam Teleagă. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valer Deliman in the 27th minute of play forced Burnley FC's goalkeeper Dave Falcioni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aldo Catini in the 30th minute of play forced Club Atlético Timișoara's goalkeeper Albert Bratiloveanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dave Falcioni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandru Maia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dave Falcioni stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexandru Maia's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Aristide Ispirescu struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Dave Falcioni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atlético Timișoara. Alvise Carnevale charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alvise Carnevale the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 46th minute, Alvise Carnevale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anthony Pietrantoni to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Alexandru Maia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Timișoara's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexandru Maia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dave Falcioni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Albert Bratiloveanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anthony Pietrantoni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Club Atlético Timișoara's Aristide Ispirescu got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Burnley FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Donato Porcu hit a great ball. The long shot by Aristide Ispirescu in the 67th minute really tested Dave Falcioni's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 69th minute of the match, Alexandru Maia got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dave Falcioni was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Manuel Vulpescu kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 72 minutes into the game, when Adam Teleagă put in a rough tackle. In the 74th match minute, Club Atlético Timișoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adam Teleagă to maneuver through the defense. The audience held their breath when Ercole Limitone in the 75th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Albert Bratiloveanu's left hand side. Burnley FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Filip Dersidan 82 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-1. Aristide Ispirescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Dave Falcioni made a huge save. The Burnley FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Club Atlético Timișoara's performance. The match ended with a win for Club Atlético Timișoara.
