Albert Bratiloveanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radomir Piczak, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Timișoara's goal looked a bit too open when Radomir Piczak came free, but Albert Bratiloveanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Costel Dima fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atlético Timișoara's protests and gave Costel Dima a yellow card for diving instead. After 15 played minutes Club Atlético Timișoara got a freekick which was hit by Costel Dima. Barnaba Brysz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Răchitan, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Albert Bratiloveanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kryspin Makowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kryspin Makowski in the 21st minute of play forced Club Atlético Timișoara's goalkeeper Albert Bratiloveanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valer Deliman during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Valer Deliman kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Kryspin Makowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Timișoara's zone, Jacek Cisek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albert Bratiloveanu came out of the goal and Jacek Cisek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Gocław Wilga Warszawa's Pawel Niemojewski was substituted for Radowit Polkoski. 57 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Timișoara's goal looked a bit too open when Kryspin Makowski came free, but Albert Bratiloveanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 58 minutes of play, Gocław Wilga Warszawa's Radomir Piczak made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Albert Bratiloveanu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Albert Bratiloveanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacek Cisek in the 61st minute. With his leg Albert Bratiloveanu managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when Gocław Wilga Warszawa's Radomir Piczak fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Through an outstanding action, after 75 minutes, Albert Bratiloveanu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to Club Atlético Timișoara getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Valer Deliman hit a great ball. Rareș Fânaru might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Barnaba Brysz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rareș Fânaru ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 86 minutes, Radomir Piczak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gocław Wilga Warszawa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Radomir Piczak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Gocław Wilga Warszawa supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gocław Wilga Warszawa would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
