After a defensive mix-up in Burnley FC's zone, Pastor Benat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dave Falcioni came out of the goal and Pastor Benat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Burnley FC defense, Claudio Peter kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dave Falcioni. The Burnley FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dave Falcioni should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Burnley FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Burnley FC's Dave Falcioni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aureliano Reynardo in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Aurelio Belardi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16thth minute of the game Pastor Benat who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Burnley FC's Dave Falcioni was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 20th minute Aureliano Reynardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Falcioni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliciano Ugutz in the 22nd minute of play forced Burnley FC's goalkeeper Dave Falcioni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Aurelio Belardi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dave Falcioni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliciano Ugutz in the 24th minute of play. Dave Falcioni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliciano Ugutz in the 25th minute of the match. Jairo Palban hit a great ball. 97 minutes into the match, Xeneizes's Feliciano Ugutz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dave Falcioni narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Xeneizes's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
