Sylvain Ripoll took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabrizio Massa. Fabrizio Massa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 11th minute, Jean-Charles Desmoulins made a precise shot to the right of Fabrizio Massa. PomeziaRamblers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 17th minute, Carlo Giordano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 28 minutes into the match, PomeziaRamblers's Ernesto Oberrauch broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Jean-Michel Caspar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Armin Trivelli in the 29th minute. The En avant de guingamp fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when En avant de guingamp's Sylvain Ripoll looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Sylvain Ripoll blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabrizio Massa having to make a save. PomeziaRamblers's Fabrizio Massa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florent Fernandes in the 40th minute of play. Fabrizio Massa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sylvain Ripoll, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Florent Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half En avant de guingamp were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sylvain Ripoll stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fabrizio Massa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sylvain Ripoll in the 55th minute. After 57 minutes of play, En avant de guingamp's Jean-Charles Desmoulins made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fabrizio Massa was left in no man's land by his defense there! 66 minutes into the match, PomeziaRamblers's goal looked a bit too open when Sylvain Ripoll came free, but Fabrizio Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sylvain Ripoll had several of the PomeziaRamblers's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 68 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-7 score and a disappointed Fabrizio Massa as he didn't even see the shot coming. Jean-Charles Desmoulins's late challenge caught a PomeziaRamblers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jean-Charles Desmoulins helped the player get up and apologised. In the 72nd match minute, En avant de guingamp was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean-Charles Desmoulins to maneuver through the defense. Sylvain Ripoll's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 74thth minute, Fabrizio Massa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 76 minutes into the game, Sylvain Ripoll recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fabrizio Massa. Sylvain Ripoll showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. Fabrizio Massa was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Jean-Charles Desmoulins capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jean-Charles Desmoulins really showed his touch with that goal: 0-9. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean-Charles Desmoulins in the 85th minute of play forced PomeziaRamblers's goalkeeper Fabrizio Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabrizio Massa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florent Fernandes in the 91st minute of the match. Tim Pontoizeau hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. En avant de guingamp's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
