When Frisco Mera came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Picanya FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frisco Mera couldn't finish the play. Picanya FC's Petri Bravo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilson Meireles in the 11th minute of play. Olavo Diniz was a little too slow when Lobo Idiaquez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 1-0. Petri Bravo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felippe Godoi in the 21st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mitxel Pedraza got free with Olavo Diniz in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Frisco Mera's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Olavo Diniz firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 28th match minute, Jundiaí -DMZ- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmundo Hermes to maneuver through the defense. Frisco Mera could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Olavo Diniz made a huge save. With a little luck, Jundiaí -DMZ-'s Olavo Diniz got control of the ball when Lobo Idiaquez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edmundo Hermes to make the kick off. In the 89th minute Frisco Mera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olavo Diniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Picanya FC had won after a very even match.
