Damiano Cericola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Armando Toschi made in the 12th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Jardim América FC's Nuno Neves. Nuno Neves hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 21st match minute, Jardim América FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuno Neves to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as G.S. Prisma Fiorenzuola's Aurelio Melchiorre slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Perivaldo Torres. That made the score 1-0 after 23 minutes of play. After 26 minutes, Reynaldo de Castro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jardim América FC and the G.S. Prisma Fiorenzuola players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 26th match minute, Jardim América FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reynaldo de Castro to maneuver through the defense. Perivaldo Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Rossi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, G.S. Prisma Fiorenzuola's Alexander Giocondo got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Alexander Giocondo was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 34 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in G.S. Prisma Fiorenzuola fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! Beppe Mannella went to the wrong direction when João Ceresso was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Perivaldo Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Melchiorre in the 37th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Jardim América FC's goal looked a bit too open when Damiano Cericola came free, but Perivaldo Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Reynaldo de Castro notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of G.S. Prisma Fiorenzuola's Beppe Mannella. Beppe Mannella was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Damiano Cericola to make the kick off. The supporters of G.S. Prisma Fiorenzuola booed when Jardim América FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Perivaldo Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damiano Cericola in the 57th minute of play. Tomás Mazza did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Beppe Mannella 60 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Melchiorre in the 64th minute of play forced Jardim América FC's goalkeeper Perivaldo Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Perivaldo Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Di Maio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. G.S. Prisma Fiorenzuola were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after Jardim América FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dino Di Natale took the corner. Damiano Cericola scored 2-2 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Perivaldo Torres, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Damiano Cericola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perivaldo Torres having to interfere. Dino Di Natale made in the 82nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Jardim América FC's Nuno Neves. After 83 played minutes, Jardim América FC's Nuno Neves shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Beppe Mannella came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jardim América FC reached it. Nico Rossi kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Jardim América FC's Perivaldo Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damiano Cericola in the 94th minute of play. A collision led to G.S. Prisma Fiorenzuola getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Aurelio Melchiorre hit a great ball. 98 minutes into the game, Nico Rossi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jardim América FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave G.S. Prisma Fiorenzuola the free kick. Nico Rossi kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. Despite being the better team, G.S. Prisma Fiorenzuola failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
