Cleto Indalecio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alexsandro Netto having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Hilario Ramos got a free kick in the 21st minute. Ariel Nel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. With an all-out effort, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Alexsandro Netto threw himself towards the right post 30 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Valentin Aureo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ariel Nel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renan Sena in the 31st minute of play. After 38 minutes, Damian Damario mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Pomelo Nenene and the Samurai Champions FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Damian Damario got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 41st match minute, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciriaco Eutropio to maneuver through the defense. Renan Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ariel Nel having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Cleto Indalecio made the kick off in the second half. Cleto Indalecio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexsandro Netto having to interfere. In the 52nd minute, Mauro Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Valentin Aureo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Rubens Massa fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Samurai Champions FC's protests and gave Rubens Massa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd match minute, Samurai Champions FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubens Massa to maneuver through the defense. Mauro Silva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ariel Nel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Mané Catarinense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Ariel Nel made a huge save. After 91 played minutes Deportivo Pomelo Nenene got a freekick which was hit by Ciriaco Eutropio. Alexsandro Netto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cleto Indalecio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Samurai Champions FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
