Godfredo Montel hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After 4 played minutes, Verissimo KFCH F.C.'s Wilian Matorin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ariel Nel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Verissimo KFCH F.C. reached it. Adilson Coutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eliézer Palmeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fulgencio Javiero in the 17th minute of play. After 18 played minutes Deportivo Pomelo Nenene got a freekick which was hit by Justo Nastasio. Eliézer Palmeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fulgencio Javiero, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After a rather tough play, Verissimo KFCH F.C.'s Wilian Matorin got a free kick in the 20th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Fulgencio Javiero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eliézer Palmeira. Verissimo KFCH F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fulgencio Javiero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Eliézer Palmeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciriaco Eutropio, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Ariel Nel was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Adilson Coutinho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Adilson Coutinho really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. In the 39th minute, Ciriaco Eutropio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 52nd minute Fulgencio Javiero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliézer Palmeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilian Matorin's late challenge caught a Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilian Matorin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 57th minute, Fulgencio Javiero made a precise shot to the right of Eliézer Palmeira. Verissimo KFCH F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 62nd minute, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Fulgencio Javiero dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Ciriaco Eutropio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ciriaco Eutropio kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Verissimo KFCH F.C.'s Célio Vaz was substituted for Giuseppe Pires. In the 71st minute of the match Wilian Matorin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ariel Nel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 72 minutes into the game, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Ciriaco Eutropio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eliézer Palmeira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. With a little luck, Verissimo KFCH F.C.'s Eliézer Palmeira got control of the ball when Ciriaco Eutropio tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 79th minute, Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Ciriaco Eutropio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eliézer Palmeira. Eliézer Palmeira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. Verissimo KFCH F.C. made a substitution. Renato de Queirós replaced Wilian Matorin. Martin Balesio was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 86 minutes into the match. 85 minutes into the game, one of Deportivo Pomelo Nenene:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Verissimo KFCH F.C. a penalty, 88 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gerson Munhoz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Ariel Nel. 2-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvério Chaves in the 96th minute of play forced Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's goalkeeper Ariel Nel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
