After a rather tough play, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Adolfo Caitano got a free kick in the 20th minute. With a little luck, NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Danilo Frascuelo got control of the ball when Elder Moreno tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amancio Magdaleno made a kick off. Conrado Ceresso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. 67 minutes into the match, Nas Horas Vagas F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo Fernendo came free, but Conrado Ceresso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nas Horas Vagas F.C's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Amancio Magdaleno 68 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-4. The NEWELL´S OLD BOYS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-7. When Aurelio Hitz fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's protests and gave Aurelio Hitz a yellow card for diving instead. Aurelio Hitz hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amancio Magdaleno in the 91st minute of play forced Nas Horas Vagas F.C's goalkeeper Conrado Ceresso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 95 played minutes NEWELL´S OLD BOYS got a freekick which was hit by Eustacio Hitz.
