An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabricio Bikendi in the 42nd minute of play forced Juniors FC's goalkeeper Esteve Jerardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Esteve Jerardo came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Alejo Ferrando. But to his dismay, Alejo Ferrando quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-7.

The wind increased when Mauro Tano made the kick off in the second half. Esteve Jerardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Tano in the 52nd minute of play. Alejo Ferrando could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Esteve Jerardo made a huge save. When Gregorio Montrell fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zaid Romero in the 82nd minute. Mauro Tano was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 83rd minute. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 92nd match minute, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos-Mario Monclús to maneuver through the defense. The Juniors FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
