After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Albino Froylan managed to get in a good position for a shot. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's supporters rose to their feet, but Albino Froylan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomáš Lackovič breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Enzo Ostadar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radovan Švehla, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. When Radovan Švehla came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the JuSi Malacky fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Radovan Švehla couldn't finish the play. A collision led to JuSi Malacky getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Jozef Nemček hit a great ball. Ladislav Sylvestr hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Enzo Ostadar made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Antón Bebiak sent off a good shot on target. After 38 played minutes JuSi Malacky got a freekick which was hit by Radovan Švehla. 40 minutes into the game, Stanislav Hergot recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Enzo Ostadar. Stanislav Hergot showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. 47 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Radovan Švehla came free, but Enzo Ostadar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Gabriel Toman made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Radovan Švehla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enzo Ostadar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Narciso Guilabertus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Carlos-Mario Monclús kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tomáš Lackovič. That made the score 2-1 in the 65 minute of play. Albino Froylan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomáš Lackovič having to interfere. In the 83rd match minute, JuSi Malacky was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pavol Tomko to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to JuSi Malacky getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Ladislav Sylvestr hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radovan Švehla in the 91st minute of play forced ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Enzo Ostadar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
