In the 13th match minute, Rasnita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sever Apostol to maneuver through the defense. But to his dismay, Agustin Jerico quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. With a little luck, Rasnita's Șerban Iacobeanu got control of the ball when Delmiro Gaizko tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 26th minute Gelu Tăzlăuanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enzo Ostadar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Gelu Tăzlăuanu came free, but Enzo Ostadar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Albino Froylan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gavril Manea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gelu Tăzlăuanu in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Enzo Ostadar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Narciso Guilabertus to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute of the match, Gelu Tăzlăuanu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Enzo Ostadar saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Rasnita's Șerban Iacobeanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Guilabertus in the 58th minute of play. After 67 played minutes ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA got a freekick which was hit by Agustin Jerico. After 71 played minutes ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA got a freekick which was hit by Benedicto Ricart. Dacian Doman was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 75 minutes into the match. Albino Froylan, 76 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The supporters of ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA booed when Rasnita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelian Siadbei didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedicto Ricart in the 83rd minute of play forced Rasnita's goalkeeper Șerban Iacobeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Narciso Guilabertus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Șerban Iacobeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th match minute, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delmiro Gaizko to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute Albino Froylan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Șerban Iacobeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA had won after a very even match.
