In the 6th match minute, ŠK Horelica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mojmír Rybárik to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute, Ernest Gâfu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of ŠK Horelica booed when Rasnita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silviu Hârlab didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomáš Omasta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomáš Omasta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gelu Tăzlăuanu in the 26th minute of the match. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The referee showed Pavel Alucusan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Ján Ďurica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. Șerban Iacobeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stano Grman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 71 minutes of play, Rasnita's Gelu Tăzlăuanu made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tomáš Omasta was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 74th match minute, ŠK Horelica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jozef Koštialik to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute, Stano Grman fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Șerban Iacobeanu, passed just outside the right post. In the 78th minute of the match, Miroslav Vašáry got a very nice opportunity to score, but Șerban Iacobeanu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 80 minutes, Sever Apostol mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rasnita and the ŠK Horelica players grew even worse after the yellow card. Stano Grman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Șerban Iacobeanu made a huge save. For all the effort they put into the match, the ŠK Horelica players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Rasnita.
