The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Gerard Morcego came free, but Salvador Incendio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 6 minutes into the game, Alfons Rallo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tullidos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA the free kick. After 6 played minutes Tullidos FC got a freekick which was hit by Alfons Rallo. Amado Pio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 10th minute, Ximo Adán left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tullidos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The supporters of Tullidos FC booed when ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albino Froylan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute Gerard Morcego shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvador Incendio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Amado Pio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gregory Camarasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's zone, Ximo Adán stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Salvador Incendio came out of the goal and Ximo Adán tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amado Pio to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Tullidos FC booed when ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Erramun didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th match minute, Tullidos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfons Bastida to maneuver through the defense. After 71 played minutes ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Erramun. In the 72nd minute Inautzi Iglesias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvador Incendio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Garaona Salan's late challenge caught a ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Garaona Salan helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Tullidos FC's Garaona Salan got a free kick in the 82nd minute. After some careless play in the ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA defense, Ximo Adán kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Salvador Incendio. The ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Salvador Incendio should have stopped the shot. Gregory Camarasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Albino Froylan's shot from short distance in the 88th minute.
