Dieguinho Magalhães recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Greger Hedlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Luís Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Vacker having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Vesterberg in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valdemar Moreira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Leif Ahlkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the game, Leif Ahlkvist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC NILS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jacuitiba - FSCMZ the free kick. A collision led to FC NILS getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Leif Ahlkvist hit a great ball. Elano Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Rune Vacker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Greger Hedlund hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, Greger Hedlund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elano Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Vacker having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Jacuitiba - FSCMZ booed when FC NILS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Vennerström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valdemar Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leif Ahlkvist in the 60th minute of the match. Greger Hedlund hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Vesterberg in the 71st minute of play forced Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Valdemar Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC NILS's Leif Ahlkvist got his second yellow card of the match in the 74th minute. The referee ordered Leif Ahlkvist off the ground. After 74 played minutes FC NILS got a freekick which was hit by Leif Ahlkvist. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jan Vennerström during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jan Vennerström hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. When Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's Elano Martins in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC NILS's goalie prevented a goal. After 91 minutes of play, FC NILS's Thomas Näver made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valdemar Moreira was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC NILS had won after a very even match.
