The audience was convinced that Valentin Haritz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valdemar Moreira was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. After 24 played minutes Moscovi Ψ got a freekick which was hit by Cristo Danel. Pedro Luís Quintal's late challenge caught a Moscovi Ψ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee ignored Moscovi Ψ's protests and gave Valentin Haritz a yellow card for diving instead. After 47 played minutes Moscovi Ψ got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Haritz. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valentin Haritz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The tension between the Moscovi Ψ and the Jacuitiba - FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Moscovi Ψ's Jairo Raulo got a free kick in the 78th minute. Moscovi Ψ's Ricardo Distiratsu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Eduardo Santana in the 82nd minute of play. Valentin Errando scored 2-3 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valdemar Moreira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Moscovi Ψ's Ricardo Distiratsu got control of the ball when Percival Trevisan tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Jacuitiba - FSCMZ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Jacuitiba - FSCMZ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
