Winksele 2016's Lucas Iven played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Močarník in the 8th minute of play. A collision led to Winksele 2016 getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Binjamin Stuycken hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Villarreal FK's Tibor Jurenko tried to score from far away in the 10th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 12thth minute of the game Jorre Sproten who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Villarreal FK's Marián Vrabec was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 14 played minutes Villarreal FK got a freekick which was hit by Stanislav Stupala. During the 15th minute of the match Martin Marichal completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Martin Marichal a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 16th minute, Martin Marichal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the match, Winksele 2016's goal looked a bit too open when Stanislav Stupala came free, but Lucas Iven reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucas Iven came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Villarreal FK's Simon Močarník. But to his dismay, Simon Močarník quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 23 minutes into the match, Stanislav Stupala had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lucas Iven. Winksele 2016's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stanislav Stupala was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Abel Lingier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Marián Vrabec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karel-Jan Gheysen scored 1-2 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marián Vrabec, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Daniel Múdry fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Villarreal FK's protests and gave Daniel Múdry a yellow card for diving instead. In the 36th minute, Daniel Múdry hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karel-Jan Gheysen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Marián Vrabec made a huge save. Jorre Sproten in the 47thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Marián Vrabec, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stanislav Stupala to make the kick off. After 50 played minutes Winksele 2016 got a freekick which was hit by Binjamin Stuycken. The Winksele 2016 fans' excitement grew in the 56th match minute when Winksele 2016's Jorre Sproten looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 60th match minute, Villarreal FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Múdry to maneuver through the defense. Erik Papiernik made in the 67th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Stanislav Stupala. In the 69th minute Simon Močarník shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Iven saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Winksele 2016 defense, Stanislav Stupala kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lucas Iven. The Winksele 2016 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lucas Iven should have stopped the shot. 74 minutes into the match, Winksele 2016's goalkeeper Lucas Iven had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Múdry. When Winksele 2016's Jorre Sproten in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Villarreal FK's goalie prevented a goal. Abel Lingier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 82 minutes into the match, Stanislav Stupala had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lucas Iven. In the 96th minute Jorre Sproten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marián Vrabec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Villarreal FK eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
