In the 28th minute of the match, Emanuel Eckegren tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bruno Caldeira saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mauro Quintanilha in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wiktor Kjellbom prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Quintanilha in the 31st minute of play forced Real Calle's goalkeeper Wiktor Kjellbom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Real Calle's Sven-Edvin Ersman got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 36 minutes into the game, Cândido Vigário cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Wiktor Kjellbom was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Wiktor Kjellbom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cândido Vigário, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Real Calle's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hilário Gama was slow to take the kick. During this time Matos Velhos's players had a chance to rest. Mats Hydén thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Wiktor Kjellbom, a very annoying self made goal in the 41st minute which led to 1-4. The supporters of Real Calle booed when Matos Velhos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauro Quintanilha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bruno Caldeira made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Robert Berglund sent off a good shot on target. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emanuel Eckegren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Mauro Quintanilha notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Real Calle's Wiktor Kjellbom. Wiktor Kjellbom was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bruno Caldeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles Sundin in the 57th minute of play. Real Calle's Wiktor Kjellbom proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Real Calle from getting a goal against them. In the 69th minute, Inácio Curado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wiktor Kjellbom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Quintanilha in the 71st minute of play. After 73 played minutes Matos Velhos got a freekick which was hit by Hilário Gama. Bruno Caldeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Ersman, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Wiktor Kjellbom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrício Baião, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wiktor Kjellbom didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Patrício Baião went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. Patrício Baião kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Wiktor Kjellbom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrício Baião in the 91st minute of play. 92 minutes into the game, Mauro Quintanilha recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wiktor Kjellbom. Mauro Quintanilha showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-7.
