Feios Porcos E Maus's Virgílio Álvares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calistrat Şerbănescu in the 4th minute of play. Calistrat Şerbănescu took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Virgílio Álvares. Virgílio Álvares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Feios Porcos E Maus's Emanuel Machado got a free kick in the 15th minute. Virgílio Álvares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Istodor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vlad Covrig had great luck who in the 24thth minute grab hold of the ball when Jesualdo Fiúza from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Vlad Covrig made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jesualdo Fiúza in the 30th minute. Teodoro Sampaio hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. If Damian Cârlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jesualdo Fiúza to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Feios Porcos E Maus booed when PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Calistrat Şerbănescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Damian Cârlan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Virgílio Álvares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 90 played minutes PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca got a freekick which was hit by Olimpiu Fecioru. After 92 played minutes PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Istodor. After some careless play in the Feios Porcos E Maus defense, Damian Cârlan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Virgílio Álvares. The Feios Porcos E Maus fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Virgílio Álvares should have stopped the shot. The PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
