In the 3rd minute, Roque Rius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 6 minutes into the game, Peluchita Fc's Humberto Manilan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manos Papaiakovou made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Peluchita Fc's Arnaldo Rexino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Panagiotis Bourousis in the 14th minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, Peluchita Fc's Antonio Firmo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manos Papaiakovou made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 19 minutes into the game, Roque Rius cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Manos Papaiakovou was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 22nd minute, Go Ahead Eagles's Panagiotis Bourousis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikos Moustos in the 24th minute of play forced Peluchita Fc's goalkeeper Arnaldo Rexino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes into the game, Go Ahead Eagles's Panagiotis Bourousis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnaldo Rexino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikos Moustos in the 29th minute of play forced Peluchita Fc's goalkeeper Arnaldo Rexino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnaldo Rexino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Panagiotis Bourousis went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. Manos Christodoulou received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Arnaldo Rexino came out and tried to block the shot, but Manos Christodoulou slotted it home off the left post making it 4-3 in the 42nd minute. Arnaldo Rexino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Panagiotis Bourousis went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-3 was the resulting score. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-3.
Peluchita Fc made a substitution. Marco Hunfredo replaced Enrique Richie. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Panagiotis Bourousis was the one to do the kick off. Christodoulos Vazakas charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christodoulos Vazakas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 56th minute, Christodoulos Vazakas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute, Humberto Manilan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manos Papaiakovou was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-4. In the 65th minute Panagiotis Bourousis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Rexino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Humberto Manilan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Manos Papaiakovou made a huge save. After 68 played minutes Peluchita Fc got a freekick which was hit by Marco Hunfredo. Arnaldo Rexino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Panagiotis Bourousis in the 72nd minute of the match. 73 minutes into the match, Go Ahead Eagles's goalkeeper Manos Papaiakovou had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Humberto Manilan. The crowd rose to their feet as Peluchita Fc's Roque Rius slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Manos Papaiakovou. That made the score 5-5 after 75 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Panagiotis Bourousis in the 83rd minute of play forced Peluchita Fc's goalkeeper Arnaldo Rexino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Daunte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Manos Papaiakovou made a huge save. Giotis Kouloucheris's late challenge caught a Peluchita Fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giotis Kouloucheris helped the player get up and apologised. After 87 played minutes Go Ahead Eagles got a freekick which was hit by Giotis Kouloucheris. Arnaldo Rexino came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Go Ahead Eagles's Manos Christodoulou. But to his dismay, Manos Christodoulou quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-5. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Go Ahead Eagles fans cheered their team off the field, for while Peluchita Fc had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
