The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes Purcaresti CSS got a freekick which was hit by Gigi Drăgan. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pablo Meder in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Damian Toader saved Purcaresti CSS from getting behind. 10 minutes into the match, Pablo Meder notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Purcaresti CSS's Damian Toader. Damian Toader was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Benicio Maties's late challenge caught a Purcaresti CSS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benicio Maties helped the player get up and apologised. After 14 played minutes C.A.M.P got a freekick which was hit by Benicio Maties. In the 15th minute of the match, Gigi Drăgan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Cornelio Garcia was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ildefonso Estebano in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Damian Toader prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Purcaresti CSS defense, Ildefonso Estebano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Damian Toader. The Purcaresti CSS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Damian Toader should have stopped the shot. Damian Toader stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ildefonso Estebano's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Damian Toader made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pablo Meder in the 31st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Ildefonso Estebano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Damian Toader was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. 35 minutes into the match, Purcaresti CSS's goal looked a bit too open when Ildefonso Estebano came free, but Damian Toader reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
