The supporters of Armada booed when Esquirla FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurens Van Aken didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 16 minutes of play, Armada's Dorin Mereuță made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dimitri Huijbreghts was left in no man's land by his defense there! 20 minutes into the match, Armada's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Hombroeckx came free, but Nicolae Hrandabur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Esquirla FC's zone, Dorin Mereuță stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dimitri Huijbreghts came out of the goal and Dorin Mereuță tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dimitri Huijbreghts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandru Pintilie in the 25th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Esquirla FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lolo Bolø came free, but Dimitri Huijbreghts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute, Dorin Mereuță ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dimitri Huijbreghts was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandru Pintilie in the 37th minute of play forced Esquirla FC's goalkeeper Dimitri Huijbreghts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dimitri Huijbreghts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelian Otopeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Aurelian Otopeanu took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dimitri Huijbreghts. Dimitri Huijbreghts dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. The supporters of Esquirla FC booed when Armada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelian Otopeanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicolae Hrandabur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Hombroeckx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 54th minute, Armada's Aurelian Otopeanu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dimitri Huijbreghts. Dimitri Huijbreghts yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. A collision led to Armada getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Aurelian Otopeanu hit a great ball. 62 minutes into the match, Dorin Mereuță notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Esquirla FC's Dimitri Huijbreghts. Dimitri Huijbreghts was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dimitri Huijbreghts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorin Mereuță in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorin Mereuță in the 68th minute of play forced Esquirla FC's goalkeeper Dimitri Huijbreghts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dimitri Huijbreghts stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dorin Mereuță's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. When the match was over Armada could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Esquirla FC throughout the match.
