The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Cosmin Mărăscu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 6 minutes into the match, FC Fanaticii's goal looked a bit too open when Cornelio Bonifaco came free, but Emanuel Giurcă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, Americo Ferrer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emanuel Giurcă. FC Fanaticii's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Americo Ferrer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 11th play minutes Marius Ganea shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Hugo Sabin and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 14th match minute, Real Academia Serengetti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cornelio Bonifaco to maneuver through the defense. Ernest Poplăcean could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Hugo Sabin made a huge save. Constantin Mareș received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Hugo Sabin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donato Cai kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After 32 played minutes FC Fanaticii got a freekick which was hit by Olimpiu Panait. FC Fanaticii's Emanuel Giurcă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Americo Ferrer in the 34th minute of play. Emanuel Giurcă didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Americo Ferrer went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. In the 39thth minute of the game Marius Ganea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Academia Serengetti's Hugo Sabin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Real Academia Serengetti's Hugo Sabin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Real Academia Serengetti from getting a goal against them.

The wind increased when Americo Ferrer made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Abel Irrintzi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Academia Serengetti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Fanaticii the free kick. After 54 played minutes Real Academia Serengetti got a freekick which was hit by Abel Irrintzi. The audience was convinced that Marius Ganea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hugo Sabin was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. In the 63rd match minute, Real Academia Serengetti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adolfo Mitxaut to maneuver through the defense. FC Fanaticii's Șerban Nanu was substituted for Marius Ganea. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Șerban Nanu in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hugo Sabin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 72 minutes into the game, Rosendo Aballe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Academia Serengetti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Fanaticii the free kick. After 71 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Real Academia Serengetti! In the 73rd minute there was a penalty for FC Fanaticii. Olimpiu Panait stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Hugo Sabin. 3-2. After some careless play in the Real Academia Serengetti defense, Șerban Nanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hugo Sabin. The Real Academia Serengetti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hugo Sabin should have stopped the shot. Șerban Nanu struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Hugo Sabin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Fanaticii. In the 82nd match minute, Real Academia Serengetti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Cai to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 82 minutes, Ernest Poplăcean managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Fanaticii's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernest Poplăcean was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 84th minute, Mugurel Bărăian ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hugo Sabin was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ernest Poplăcean in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hugo Sabin saved Real Academia Serengetti from getting behind. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 6-2 when Mugurel Bărăian sped through Real Academia Serengetti's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hugo Sabin. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Șerban Nanu in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hugo Sabin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Real Academia Serengetti getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Adolfo Mitxaut hit a great ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Real Academia Serengetti players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Fanaticii.
