When Iwan Marchefka came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Phantasy World fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iwan Marchefka couldn't finish the play. When Leszek Zawacki came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Phantasy World fans jumped to their feet. After a rather tough play, Fire Devils's Leonard Schnyder got a free kick in the 21st minute. The supporters of Fire Devils booed when Phantasy World was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leszek Zawacki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Konrad Banan acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 26th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Billy Waller. Vladimir Schnyder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iwan Marchefka, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Iwan Marchefka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimir Schnyder having to interfere. If Leszek Zawacki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, Fire Devils's Dave Drescher dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Winkel to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Janosch Bluom in the 52nd minute of play forced Phantasy World's goalkeeper Konrad Banan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 57 minutes, Iwan Marchefka managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Phantasy World's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iwan Marchefka was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Billy Waller hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iwan Marchefka in the 65th minute of play forced Fire Devils's goalkeeper Vladimir Schnyder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iwan Marchefka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimir Schnyder having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Fire Devils's goalkeeper Vladimir Schnyder had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iwan Marchefka. With a little luck, Fire Devils's Vladimir Schnyder got control of the ball when Leszek Zawacki tried to sneak it across the goal line. Billy Waller's late challenge caught a Phantasy World's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Billy Waller helped the player get up and apologised. Billy Waller kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. If Daniel Winkel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Phantasy World getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Przemyslaw Majewski hit a great ball. 83 minutes into the match, Fire Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Iwan Marchefka came free, but Vladimir Schnyder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leszek Zawacki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Vladimir Schnyder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Borys Domaradzki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimir Schnyder having to interfere. Konrad Banan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Winkel, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. In the 96th minute of the match, Iwan Marchefka got a very nice opportunity to score, but Vladimir Schnyder was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Fire Devils had won after a very even match.
