With his leg Leon Maruda managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Utopía Muerta FC's Placido Abaunza fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 14 minutes into the game, Borys Poniewaz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Glany proboszcza's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Utopía Muerta FC the free kick. In the 14th minute, Borys Poniewaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Cayetano Tiniebra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leon Maruda was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. The referee showed Placido Abaunza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Utopía Muerta FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Placido Abaunza hit a great ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andrzej Modrzewski to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Utopía Muerta FC's Jonas Socorro got a free kick in the 58th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Glany proboszcza's zone, Cayetano Tiniebra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leon Maruda came out of the goal and Cayetano Tiniebra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 63rd minute, Tomasz Osowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Tomasz Osowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Glany proboszcza's Tomasz Osowski got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 76 minutes into the match, Utopía Muerta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Andrzej Modrzewski came free, but Aurelio Mederi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Glany proboszcza booed when Utopía Muerta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogelio Garikoitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 80 minutes, Andrzej Modrzewski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Glany proboszcza and the Utopía Muerta FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 94th minute, Cayetano Tiniebra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Utopía Muerta FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Utopía Muerta FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Glany proboszcza had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
