When the match clock showed 2 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Stanny Helssens sped through A.S. Ian Fenomeni's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Concetto Vasco. The Kickers United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. The supporters of A.S. Ian Fenomeni booed when Kickers United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregory Verhelst didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Kickers United's goal looked a bit too open when Ferruccio Castronovo came free, but Emmanuel Meersman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stanny Helssens in the 15th minute of play forced A.S. Ian Fenomeni's goalkeeper Concetto Vasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emmanuel Meersman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferruccio Castronovo in the 19th minute of the match. Ian Fenomeni's Concetto Vasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvain De Raeijmaeker in the 39th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, A.S. Ian Fenomeni's goal looked a bit too open when Jannic Van Cruchten came free, but Concetto Vasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th play minute Anthony Tonon came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Emmanuel Meersman. 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dave Nicolini made a kick off. A.S. Ian Fenomeni's attentive Anthony Tonon managed to snatch the ball when Frans Moerman made a throw-in in the 53rd minute of the game. Fulvio Ferrara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute, Eugenio Conte ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emmanuel Meersman was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Concetto Vasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maxime Uytterhaegen in the 65th minute of the match. A collision led to Kickers United getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Simon Cheepers hit a great ball. If Anthony Tonon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Edgard Raymaekers fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kickers United's protests and gave Edgard Raymaekers a yellow card for diving instead. Edgard Raymaekers hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. A.S. Ian Fenomeni's Eugenio Conte got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 80 minutes of play, A.S. Ian Fenomeni's Eugenio Conte made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emmanuel Meersman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Emmanuel Meersman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dave Nicolini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute Andrea Tocchetto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emmanuel Meersman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dave Nicolini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
