The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Leo Astudillo hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. The supporters of Utopía Muerta FC booed when DAMIAN TEAM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Quintin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 8 minutes of play, Utopía Muerta FC's Severo Sustrai made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Faustino Lugo was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Utopía Muerta FC fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when Utopía Muerta FC's Placido Abaunza looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Faustino Lugo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severo Sustrai, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After a rather tough play, Utopía Muerta FC's Damian Lluciano got a free kick in the 18th minute. Placido Abaunza scored 0-3 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Faustino Lugo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 28th minute Placido Abaunza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faustino Lugo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, Severo Sustrai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 38th play minutes Placido Abaunza shot 0-5, a short shot which went by Faustino Lugo and just under the crossbar into goal. Faustino Lugo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Placido Abaunza in the 41st minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gavino Benitez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Severo Sustrai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faustino Lugo having to interfere. Placido Abaunza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Faustino Lugo made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Placido Abaunza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Faustino Lugo was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. After 72 minutes, Cayetano Ponc mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Utopía Muerta FC and the DAMIAN TEAM players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of DAMIAN TEAM booed when Utopía Muerta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cayetano Ponc didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Dolcet kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Faustino Lugo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Severo Sustrai's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. If Severo Sustrai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 83 minutes, Severo Sustrai mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Utopía Muerta FC and the DAMIAN TEAM players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 83rd minute, Severo Sustrai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 87 played minutes DAMIAN TEAM got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Dolcet. Faustino Lugo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Placido Abaunza in the 89th minute. Utopía Muerta FC played a much better game than DAMIAN TEAM and deserved their victory. The DAMIAN TEAM players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
