The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hamburg Fighters's supporters crossed their fingers, but Markus Paul Schürhoff was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hürkan Zevahir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toni Diergardt in the 7th minute of play. Hürkan Zevahir showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Markus Paul Schürhoff, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Hürkan Zevahir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toni Diergardt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as ＡＳＹＡ's Gökay Beşer slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nolan Bästlein. That made the score 2-0 after 20 minutes of play. When Ferit Alişan fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ＡＳＹＡ's protests and gave Ferit Alişan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th match minute, ＡＳＹＡ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferit Alişan to maneuver through the defense. ＡＳＹＡ's Hürkan Zevahir played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toni Diergardt in the 35th minute of play. After 40 minutes, Wulf-Dieter Schwarze made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. ＡＳＹＡ's Hürkan Zevahir tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 46th minute, ＡＳＹＡ's Gökay Beşer dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Esat Demirağ to make the kick off. Hürkan Zevahir made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Jochen Fusten sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jochen Fusten got free with Hürkan Zevahir in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hürkan Zevahir was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Markus Paul Schürhoff showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 60 minute of play. Nolan Bästlein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esat Demirağ, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. ＡＳＹＡ's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Toni Diergardt 70 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-3. In the 73rd minute, Özden Mirza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ＡＳＹＡ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-3. Nolan Bästlein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murat Selim Cangiray, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 80th match minute, ＡＳＹＡ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esat Demirağ to maneuver through the defense. Markus Paul Schürhoff was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 81st minute. Hamburg Fighters's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 82nd minute, Hamburg Fighters's Toni Diergardt ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hürkan Zevahir. Hürkan Zevahir yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-4. The supporters of Hamburg Fighters booed when ＡＳＹＡ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Özden Mirza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nolan Bästlein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özden Mirza in the 89th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Toni Diergardt reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hürkan Zevahir. The goal made the score 4-5. 96 minutes into the match, ＡＳＹＡ's goal looked a bit too open when Markus Paul Schürhoff came free, but Hürkan Zevahir reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hamburg Fighters's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
