In the 3rd minute Nikolas Soulakas suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Nilmar Berger's late challenge caught a Vakoufi Utd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nilmar Berger helped the player get up and apologised. Giannis Liolios's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Severino Aguiar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. The supporters of Red John S.K booed when Vakoufi Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Panagiotis Kleftokotakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. With 10 minutes on the clock, Bebeto Cearense commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After a defensive mix-up in Red John S.K's zone, Makis Karoubalis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severino Aguiar came out of the goal and Makis Karoubalis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nasos Liakopoulos in the 32nd minute of play forced Red John S.K's goalkeeper Severino Aguiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 34 played minutes Vakoufi Utd got a freekick which was hit by Panagiotis Kleftokotakis. Veniamin Koulouris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Paulo Zonta in the 35th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Vakoufi Utd's Grigoris Papathanasiou got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 41st minute, Luís Paulo Zonta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Veniamin Koulouris was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. When Red John S.K's Reginaldo Donatello in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vakoufi Utd's goalie prevented a goal. If Reginaldo Donatello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Júnior Cosme to strike the kick off in the second half. Grigoris Papathanasiou hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Reginaldo Donatello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Severino Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nasos Liakopoulos in the 61st minute of the match. Severino Aguiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Panagiotis Kleftokotakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Nasos Liakopoulos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Severino Aguiar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. After some careless play in the Vakoufi Utd defense, Reginaldo Donatello kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Veniamin Koulouris. The Vakoufi Utd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Veniamin Koulouris should have stopped the shot. Júnior Cosme struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Veniamin Koulouris didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Red John S.K. After some careless play in the Vakoufi Utd defense, Luís Paulo Zonta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Veniamin Koulouris. The Vakoufi Utd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Veniamin Koulouris should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Reginaldo Donatello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Red John S.K's supporters rose to their feet, but Reginaldo Donatello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Veniamin Koulouris breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 87th match minute, Vakoufi Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grigoris Papathanasiou to maneuver through the defense. In the 88th match minute Nilmar Berger ran free in the middle of the field and shot a long shot which scored behind a totally surprised Veniamin Koulouris. 1-4. In the 92nd minute, Sanderson Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Red John S.K had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
