Ágætis Byrjun's Ab Veenema proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Ágætis Byrjun from getting a goal against them. In the 37th minute, Robin Willemsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Dexter Morgan VR46 getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Ettore Treglia hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lex Oldenborger in the 40th minute of play forced Dexter Morgan VR46's goalkeeper Davide Cavaliere to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Dexter Morgan VR46 defense, Edgar Buys kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Davide Cavaliere. The Dexter Morgan VR46 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Davide Cavaliere should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Ágætis Byrjun getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Franco Penna was the one to do the kick off.
