Filomeno Manni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robin Willemsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. 7 minutes into the match, Leones FC's goal looked a bit too open when Robin Willemsen came free, but Filomeno Manni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robin Willemsen in the 9th minute of play forced Leones FC's goalkeeper Filomeno Manni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Robin Willemsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filomeno Manni didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Brain Diest went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 22 minutes into the match, Leones FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Buys came free, but Filomeno Manni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filomeno Manni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brain Diest, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. If Edgar Buys had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucien Daems in the 35th minute of play forced Leones FC's goalkeeper Filomeno Manni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Edgar Buys ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Filomeno Manni was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Edgar Buys struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Filomeno Manni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ágætis Byrjun. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Snijders in the 42nd minute of play forced Leones FC's goalkeeper Filomeno Manni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 44 minutes of play, Ágætis Byrjun's Robin Willemsen made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Filomeno Manni was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Ágætis Byrjun were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedro Nuno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Edgard Ax dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Filomeno Manni, 0-5. In the 57th minute of the match, Brain Diest tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Filomeno Manni saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The crowd rose to their feet as Ágætis Byrjun's Robin Willemsen slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Filomeno Manni. That made the score 0-7 after 68 minutes of play. Leones FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Boukjan Schalkwijk scored to the left of an out of position Filomeno Manni, making the score, 0-8. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edgard Ax in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filomeno Manni saved Leones FC from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Ágætis Byrjun's Brain Diest slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Filomeno Manni. That made the score 0-9 after 88 minutes of play. When the final whistle sounded Ágætis Byrjun left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Leones FC.
